EXR Series Driver’s Feature: Bill Hynes
Las Vegas, NV – Being a full time driver in the Stadium Super Truck series for the past 3 seasons, I wanted to get more track time and I was looking for an arrive and drive series. When I first learned about the EXR Series, I was bit skeptical because there have been many racing series just pop up out of the blue and typically they aren’t run very well. I did some research and saw that IndyCar driver Tristian Vautier and V8 Supercar driver Alex Premat work with the EXR Series, so I knew if those two professional drivers were associated with EXR it had to be great!
I decided to give it a try and went for a test day at Fontana. The test went amazing and the instruction and data they provide are simply the best. I saw my lap times get better & better as the day went on.
From that test, my good friend Burt Jenner & I, decided to join EXR for their inaugural race at Circuit of the Americas.
I will say that from the minute we set foot inside the paddock area we could tell that this series would be different. Every thing was first class from start to finish. The staff was amazing and made every driver feel welcomed and made sure each driver had all the information they needed; the mechanics were top notch and they made sure you were happy with your race cars setup and they totally look after each driver and our genuinely concerned for our safety.
As for the race, we were amazed at the competition level! The racing was phenomenal and very competitive; I loved it so much It was an easy decision to sign up to drive full time in the EXR Series! I can’t say enough about this Series and all of the people involved. If you want a world class series that has a fast, safe and reliable car, and you want to race on some of the best tracks in the world such as Circuit of the Americas, Laguna Seca, Sonoma & Fontana you need to give EXR a try, you won’t regret it!
