The EXR Series invited its first clients to the track for some laps in the EXR EXR LV02 at our Los Angeles facility. The Fontana Roval is a technical configuration that incorporates a bit of everything a racer might encounter during a season. With a long straight, banked curves, fast corners, slow corners, and a few bumps that remind you this isn’t your commute to work, it’s real racing. And those were just a few of the challenges that our series Sporting Manager and IndyCar driver, Tristan Vautier, enjoys about the track. Tristan set a time to beat of 1.52 in the EXR LV02 and 1.42 in the EXR LV03.
Race every weekend in Los Angeles
Tristan explained that this track day was important for many reasons but mostly to test how the race cars are set up. After a full day on track the engine, transmission, wheels, and suspension remained perfectly tuned. The cars were very stable at speed and handled every banked curve and corner brilliantly. As the series moves from track to track, the racing team is confident that they can set up the cars to be as competitive as possible on an oval or road course.
